EUROPEAN PROJECT EXPERIENCE

EU-funded projects built around real European needs.

Explore selected project experience across safe and secure transport infrastructure, e-mobility, charging networks, strategic studies and cross-border investment.

TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE · SPAIN–FRANCE

Safe and secure truck parking in the Spanish/French border region.

The project focused on improving the availability of safe and secure parking for trucks along the E-15 motorway between Barcelona and Montpellier.

Across two projects, a logistics centre’s parking facilities were upgraded to the EU Gold-level standard for security and driver services, while the site was expanded with 505 secured parking spaces.

Project contribution

  • Expansion of safe and secure truck parking capacity
  • Security and driver-service upgrades
  • Project management and related services
  • Support for road safety and freight efficiency
  • Improved driver welfare and motorway conditions

E-MOBILITY · CHARGING INFRASTRUCTURE

European e-mobility and charging infrastructure projects.

Over the past decade, several major European initiatives have supported sustainable transport, e-mobility and electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

These projects contributed to the deployment of fast-charging networks, e-bus systems and studies examining the integration of e-mobility solutions across Europe.

Project contribution

  • Fast-charging network deployment
  • E-bus charging systems
  • Interoperable infrastructure development
  • Electric fleet integration
  • Cross-border e-mobility services
  • Studies on European e-mobility integration

STRATEGIC STUDIES · IRELAND

Studies supporting the expansion of Shannon Foynes Port.

Two EU-funded studies supported the planned expansion of Shannon Foynes Port in Ireland.

The first assessed the feasibility and cost of extending a 40-kilometre railway connection between the port and the Irish Rail Network. The objective was to enable the transfer of 84 million tonnes per kilometre to rail and reduce pressure on the road network.

The second study covered field surveys, environmental assessment, design, modelling and planning connected to the port company’s Vision 2041 master plan.

Study scope

  • Rail connection feasibility
  • Cost assessment
  • Environmental assessment
  • Field surveys
  • Infrastructure design and modelling
  • Long-term port development planning
